How to clearly communicate project roles using a RACI framework
We all want to crush projects. However, the more complex the project is, the easier it is for communication to break down and lose track of tasks. It won’t matter how well-thought-out your plan is or how spectacular your team may be. When you’re not all on the same page about assigned tasks, confusion can derail your project, making it that much harder to bounce back.
That’s where RACI comes in. This is a framework that provides your team with the ownership and clarity they need to be effective by understanding who’s doing what:
- Responsible: Person(s) responsible for doing the work
- Accountable: Person(s) accountable for signing off the work
- Consulted: Person(s) consulted before and during the work
- Informed: Person(s) informed of work progress/completion
